An attempt at showing the importance of temporary and permanent bracing walls in open structures. I am not a structural engineer but have 40 years of experience in the construction industry and have worked in architecture and have drawn for structural engineers. These two videos are meant to bring the issues of temporary bracing and permanent shear walls to light so that solutions can be worked out.
There are places in the world where building on the edge of code compliance is a necessity. These are the proving grounds of construction's best practices. Don't judge the brave men and women brave hostile environments. Code compliance is secondary to your freedom.
