*Mirchi Vada | Stuffed Mirchi Pakoda | Mirchi Bajji
Saamagri:
4-6 large green chilies (mirchi)
1/2 cup besan (gram flour)
1/4 cup rice flour
1/4 teaspoon cumin seeds
1/4 teaspoon ajwain (carom seeds)
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon red chili powder
1/4 teaspoon amchur powder (dried mango powder)
1/4 cup water
Oil, for deep frying
Filling:
1/4 cup mashed potatoes
1/4 cup chopped onions
1/4 cup chopped coriander leaves
1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
1/2 teaspoon garam masala powder
Salt, to taste
Vidhi:
1. *Prepare the filling*: Mix mashed potatoes, onions, coriander leaves, cumin powder, garam masala powder, and salt.
2. *Slit the chilies*: Slit the green chilies lengthwise, remove seeds, and stuff with the potato mixture.
3. *Make the batter*: Mix besan, rice flour, cumin seeds, ajwain, salt, red chili powder, and amchur powder. Add water to make a thick batter.
4. *Dip and fry*: Dip the stuffed chilies in the batter and deep fry in hot oil until golden brown.
5. *Serve hot*: Serve hot with your favorite chutney or sauce.
Tips:
Use large green chilies for easier stuffing.
Adjust the spice level to your taste.
