👉 "I need a job on a film set. Can you help?" I’ve heard this so many times, and I get it. But let’s talk about the reality of getting work as a Production Assistant (PA) or entry-level crew on a movie.
If your goal is making money, this might not be the right move. If your goal is getting experience and working your way up in the industry, now we’re talking.
💡 Here’s what you need to know:
✔️ PA jobs pay little to no money—especially in indie films.
✔️ Studio films might offer more, but it’s still not a high-paying gig.
✔️ PA work is about learning the ropes, not making a living wage.
✔️ If you have specific skills (DP, AC, etc.), you’re more valuable.
✔️ Filmmaking is a long game—taking an entry-level role can be worth it if you’re in it for the right reasons.
