One common issue on these older Chevy's is the interior door handles. If the lever wears out or someone pulls too hard, they tend to snap off. This video gives a relatively detailed view of how to replace the interior door handle assembly.
You'll need the following:
Left or Right door handle assembly, part number 761-5600 (drivers side) or 761-5601 (passenger side). I use Dorman units, but others are available if you have a preference.
Drill and drill bits
Rivet gun and 3/16" pop rivets (6 rivets needed)
Flat bladed screwdriver
Philips head screwdriver
Trim tool for removing plastic fasteners (optional)
