When it comes to getting recruited to play college sports, there's a right way and a wrong way to do it. Period.
Sending a coach a link to your highlight video is great, but it needs to have some context to it. Talk about why you would be a good fit for their program. Mention that you are a very coachable player and willing to learn. Are you a great teammate? Put that in there too! You can also include some stats and a little bit about your academic success.
There's much more to it than just sending a link.
Think about what you do when you receive junk mail or an email from someone you don't know. How long does it stay on your mind for? In either instance, its in the trash in less than a second for me.
Don't make this mistake and have your video wind up in the trash..
