Yes, I know that many other people have created videos on YouTube sharing their arrangements of the Horde themes in Left 4 Dead 2. And they're arrangements by very nature of how the sounds are stored the game files: They're all in pieces that have to be stitched together either by the Source engine in real time during a game (by the "AI Music Director"), or by a sound editor using software like Audacity. Since I'm not a video game engine, this music was done the second way. And to be different from other people, I made my arrangements of the Horde themes unique by also including each campaign's "Germ" tones as intros and outros. "Germ" plays when a horde attack is incoming, and they have many variations, such as on different instruments pertaining to the theme/setting of the campaign, or a pattern of going up in pitch or down in pitch. The "Germ" musical cues can be found in the /sound/music/mob folder. The "Horde" themes can be found within /sound/music/zombat (here are "snare_horde_01_01a" and "b.wav", as well as "gatesofhell.wav" for when a horde has been defeated). Within the Zombat folder are the folders "danger" (which have folders for the main instruments of each campaign's special horde themes, plus "hordedanger_01.wav" for a generic "incoming horde" sound), "horde" (full of 29 files of just percussion and drums), and "slayer" (which only has two folders, "fiddle" (for Hard Rain) and "lectric". "lectric" only has slayer_01a.wav, a very low-pitched horde sound you might hear in some of my arrangements.)
The Passing takes place in Rayford, Georgia. It is a unique campaign in that Coach, Nick, Ellis, and Rochelle get to meet Zoey, Francis, and Louis, the main characters of the previous game. The musical instruments featured in its themes include some kind of electric organ, French horns, and a jazz flute. I mean, it could just be a normal flute, but considering the setting here, it's fair to say it's a "jazz flute". These instruments fit the theme of a city with a thriving night scene. There are at least two jazz clubs or bars in this campaign. The jazz organ and flute support this. The French Horns seem to fit with the "abandoned underground sewer" feel. And finally, the electric organ ties in with the theme of a wedding, as seen in the park. A bride-to-be was left behind and turned into a Witch. Organs are very common at weddings. And then there's the pun of literal "body organs", what with this being a zombie game and all.
The Passing's Horde themes are found in Left 4 Dead 2/left4dead2_dlc1/sound/music/zombat/danger/internalorgans (see the pun?)
