The IWC Aquatimer 2000 is an extreme dive watch. The watch has an impressive stance on the wrist. It measures 44mm across the case not including the crown. It's not excessively thick considering its size at 14.5mm thick. The only reason it would potentially get hung up on a tight sleeve is the way the bezel knurls outwards. The span of the watch is 55mm from lug to lug but it wears compact. You can see that the lugs are short and thrust downwards powerfully and dramatically when they extend outwards form the case.

Although it is a heavy stainless steel timepiece, it is nicely counterbalanced with a bracelet and clasp that match the weight. The bracelet is an H link design with just a small amount of polish found on the shoulders. There is just enough high-polish to remind you that it is a luxury tool watch. The clasp is a twin trigger deployant meaning it won't just pop open. The dimples underneath the bracelet are a part of the quick release system allowing you to easily size the bracelet or clean each link.

The watch is a handsome combination of IWC design and dive watch qualities. The watch features 2000m water resistance with it's uni-direction bezel. The critical first 15-minutes on the bezel are their own unique color of lume differentiating the period from the other lume on the dial.

Inside is the IWC30110 powering the watch. There are hacking seconds allowing for precise synchronization or setting with a dive timer. The date is quick set and the watch has a 42-hour power reserve.
