ISHLI KOFTE | MICHUGOV KOFTE (stuffed meatball)

Ingredients:

Filling (inner layer)
1 lb ground beef
1white or yellow onion, chopped
1tbsp. ground black pepper
½ tsp. allspice
1½ tbsp. Aleppo pepper
Salt to taste
Optional add pine nuts or walnuts
dash cayenne pepper


Kofte (outer layer)
1 lb finely ground beef/chikofte beef (see chikofte recipe video to learn how to make it yourself)
2 cups bulgur, #1 or fine
2 cups ice water
1 tsp. ground black pepper
1tsp. Aleppo pepper
salt to taste

Extra ice water (to dip your hands into & for kneading the bulgur/meat)
Lemon slices to serve
