Описание: The village of Liqvan lies to the northeast of Tabriz and the southeast sector of the hilly area of Sahand. Lighwan Village located in Meydan Chay Rural District, in the Central District of Tabriz County, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran . The village lies in a beautiful valley with the Liqvan river flowing alongside. Greenery, orchards draw visitors to this wonderful spot in the summer. In east part of this village, there is a pretty valley from which Lighvan River passes and fulfil the neighbor villages. One of the surprises of this area is that there is hot water in both sides of river, while among them a very cold and tasty Lighvan River passes. It is famous for slight weather during summer time and cold weather in winter. The main occupation of the people is agriculture, dairy and gardening. Lighwan's traditional feta cheese is the most famous cheese all around Iran.

روستای لیقوان در شمال شرقی تبریز و بخش جنوب شرقی منطقه تپه ماهور سهند قرار دارد. روستای لیقوان در دهستان میدان چای از توابع بخش مرکزی شهرستان تبریز در استان آذربایجان شرقی واقع شده است. این روستا در دره ای زیبا قرار دارد که رودخانه لیقوان در کنار آن جاری است. سرسبزی، باغ ها بازدیدکنندگان را در تابستان به این نقطه شگفت انگیز می کشاند. در شرق این روستا دره ای زیبا وجود دارد که رودخانه لیقوان از آنجا می گذرد و روستاهای همجوار را پر می کند. یکی از شگفتی های این منطقه وجود آب گرم در دو سوی رودخانه است در حالی که از میان آنها رودخانه بسیار سرد و خوش طعم لیقوان می گذرد. به دلیل آب و هوای کم در تابستان و هوای سرد در زمستان مشهور است. شغل اصلی مردم زراعت، لبنیات و باغداری است. پنیر فتا سنتی لیقوان معروف ترین پنیر در سراسر ایران است.
