EMC: Conducted Emissions Testing on the Bench

Описание: Conducted emissions testing is a core part of electromagnetic compatibility. While full compliance measurements require specialized facilities, meaningful pre-compliance testing does not necessarily require a complete EMC lab. What is essential is a well-defined setup: a reference ground plane, a non-conductive support, a load simulator, and a pair of DC Line Impedance Stabilization Networks (LISNs) to define the supply impedance and couple conducted noise to a measurement instrument.

With the device under test placed on the specified support, the supply lines routed in a controlled and repeatable manner, and the LISNs connected to a spectrum analyzer, CISPR 25 conducted-emissions pre-compliance measurements can be performed directly on the lab bench. This approach allows design issues to be identified early, long before formal compliance testing.
