It offers a rich blend of history, thriving arts, and gastronomy, set against the backdrop of the Carpathian Mountains. Divided into the Upper Town (aristocratic) and Lower Town (craftsmen), the center is famous for its large, colorful squares like Piata Mare (Great Square) and Piata Mica.
