I'm a comics historian, author, designer and I want to create a new magazine about the history of comics and the people and techniques of how this history is recovered and documented. I'm publishing this video blog to include you on my journey. Along the way, I'll show you some of my tips and tricks for finding comics history gold and invite discussion about the creation of a new magazine from the design to the marketing.
In this first episode Paul Tumey shows you his fun Uncle-Scrooge-Money-Bin-like dive into history, sharing some tools and tips. Eventually, we discover a Chicago "livestock artist and cartoonist" from the 1900s with a lead to a family descendant!
