Skrike Snowboards Ep. 16
Brighton Resort, Utah - March 11th, 2026 @brightonresort9647
It’s mid-March at Brighton, and after a night of rain and a morning freeze, the mountain is a total iceberg. Most people skip icy days like this, but I’m using it for one of the best workouts ever: a 1,200-calorie snowboarding session.
In this week’s vlog, I talk about why I’m pushing through the icy slopes to squeeze in as many days as possible before the season ends. I also share some personal progress on my weight loss journey, I’ve lost 40 pounds since last year, and I actually bought my Step On bindings originally because I was too out of shape to bend down and strap in.
Powder hides mistakes, but icy days like this demands proper technique. I’m focusing heavily on torsional flex and edge pressure today to keep from catching an edge. If you’re 47 like me, you know that fall damage is real, one bad spill on ice means a week of ice packs and ibuprofen.
My Three Pillars:
Move: Burning 1,200+ calories in 3 hours vs. 600 at the gym.
Fuel: Staying consistent to lose that remaining "belly fat."
Mind: Avoiding the doomscroll and finding quiet in the Brighton trees.

The Camera Gear:
I get asked a lot how I film my solo runs. Most of what you see is shot on the Insta360 X5. It’s how I capture everything, from talking in the car, on the lift, and the full mountain experience without a camera crew.
