Cheonjiyeon Waterfall is one of Jeju Island's main attractions. It is 22 meters high and 12 meters wide, and its size means it is especially impressive after heavy rain.

Visitors enjoy a pretty, user friendly, and relaxing 1 km trail which leads through the valley to the falls. It has a stepping stone path and subtropical forest that is rich in flora and fauna.

Cheonjiyeon Waterfall is also the natural habitat of the Giant Mottled Eel (Anguilla marmorata) which grows to about 2 metres (6.56 feet) in length.
