This video describes What a Hemoglobin-A1C is, also known simply as an "A1C"; What it is used for, and How it works! Many patients / people are told to get their A1C down, but are not even aware what it is. In this video, basic education pertaining to an A1C is discussed, what is a normal and abnormal A1C, and what can affect it. Also, as an A1C and Diabetes go hand-in-hand, the correlation between the two is discussed, as well as the prevalence of diabetes throughout the world.
