Westchester for Palestine and Black Alliance for Peace (BAP) hosted a teach-in that walks us through the historical and modern linkages between Palestinian, Indigenous American, and African/Black peoples. The program took attendees on a journey to learn about the story of the colonization of three seemingly unrelated groups, and how colonialism and imperialism remain tools of domination that directly impact the world around us - from Mount Vernon to Palestine and beyond.
The event covered the history of the Palestinian, African/Black, and Indigenous American liberation struggles as well as emphasized the importance of March 30 as Palestinian Land Day.
