Live portrait sessions from the New Doncaster Mining Sculpture “A Rich Seam”, Created by Artist Laurence Edwards. The sculpture features Bronze Heads that were modelled during a two-hour session where stories and experiences were shared and memories of the mining history of Doncaster preserved.
A Rich Seam - Created between 2017-2021 by Laurence Edwards This public art was commissioned by Doncaster Council. Staff and students from Doncaster College have documented the whole process. Special thanks to everyone who contributed to the crowdfunding that paid for the sculpture to be made.
