We were delighted to welcome Dr Lydia Cole, a conservation ecologist based at the University of St Andrews, Scotland, to present at our weekly coffee morning talk on 5 March 2026. This talk by Dr Cole, who has worked on peatlands in Malaysia, Scotland, Peru, and Rwanda over the past few decades, provides an overview of the different types and conditions of peatlands across these geographies, as well as the ways in which people interact with them, and what this might mean for the persistence of these carbon-rich landscapes into the future.
