Описание: Saidpur is a historically rich village, dating back 4 or 5 centuries, with a diverse religious heritage. Originally named after Said Khan, the son of Gakhar chief Sultan Sarang Khan, it was initially a garden resort with natural streams. Later, it became a place of Hindu worship under Raja Man Singh's influence and was adorned with various ponds and platforms. After 1947, it ceased to be a place of worship but was repurposed into a school and, in 2006, a tourist attraction by the Capital Development Authority. Notable structures in Saidpur include a green-domed mosque, a former Hindu temple, and a small building resembling a Sikh shrine. The village is also famous for its unglazed pottery. Its population comprises around two thousand registered voters. Perched on a hill slope is the shrine of Zinda Pir, a revered saint believed to have roamed the earth incognito, offering help to those who have lost their way. Mai Ji's grave, a woman who spent her life praying at the shrine, rests nearby. Saidpur encapsulates a unique blend of history and spirituality, drawing visitors with its cultural diversity and historical charm.
