In this episode of the popular talk show, Shaam Ki Chai, Sabeen Sadiq shares her inspiring journey from being a loner in high school to a full-time stand up comedian in Chicago. Sabeen deep dives into working hard to identify with Pakistan’s Culture (which she absolutely loves now) and how she resonated better with American culture while growing up, discussing awkward teenage years, how she struggled to fit in physically and socially.

About the guest:
Sabeen Sadiq is a stand up comic, actor, and writer based in Chicago. Her comedy has been described as whimsically honest and even “I didn't think she'd talk about that” with topics ranging from her Muslim upbringing and family dysfunction, to being related to white people (surprise!!). When she’s not changing windshield wipers for an Autozone ad, she tours nationally and performs at various festivals, with an upcoming appearance at Limestone Comedy Festival. She's a regular on the college circuit having performed for Stanford, UIC, and Western Michigan University.

As an actor, she’s played lead roles in the web series’ Codeswitched and The Girl Deep Down Below. In Chicago, she co-produces the show Best Night ever at The Lincoln Lodge and performs regularly at local venues such as Laugh Factory, Zanies, and The Comedy Bar.
