Pokémon Scarlet: Nintendo Switch 2 Footage (4K/60fps)

Описание: Pokémon Scarlet and Violet quite infamously suffered from major performance issues on the base Nintendo Switch, though they've now received a free update for Nintendo Switch 2 that addresses the problems.

How well does it hold up? Well, the difference in framerate is night and day, and I couldn't be more grateful for that. I still noticed a couple of small hitches here and there but nothing unreasonable, and it makes exploring the open areas much more pleasant than it used to be.

The framerate boost also makes the menus much more responsive, which is a huge deal since the menu lag on the base Switch is obnoxious. I'd say that alone is the difference between me not caring to revisit the game since beating it, and now thinking about doing another full run of Violet on the channel later down the line.

The game also seems to be spawning far more wild Pokémon on the screen at once, which does a good job in making the areas feel more "lived in". That's probably more convenient for shiny hunters too.

It's not a perfect update and you can still see some of the classic Scarlet and Violet jank shining through - the visuals are still barebones and bland on the whole, and the pop-in is as erratic as ever - but this is definitely a much more presentable take on the games than the base Switch versions.

I've left the first few minutes of this footage uncut so you can get an idea on how long the loading screens last, then after that I've cut around to more notable parts, from the base game and both DLC packs.
