@MotorTrendWatch invited me out to their Car of the Year testing to see what cars were under consideration, how they do their testing and also try out some of the cars! It was super cool seeing how involved and thorough the testing is, plus all the various criteria different cars are evaluated against.
There are 6 different judged criteria: safety, value, advancement in design, engineering excellence, efficiency, and performance of intended function. This is how something like this Mustang Dark Horse can be compared to a Toyota Prius, not directly to each other, rather against how they should perform with the given criteria.
As a lifelong Mustang fan, I had to grab the keys to the new Mustang Dark Horse! This was actually my first time getting to drive the latest S650 generation of the Ford Mustang.
