Описание: The 'Amazon' Fender Squire Telecaster Debut Re-build – Is it Worth Putting High-End Parts on a Budget Guitar?

Recently – I purchased one of Fender’s Amazon Debut Squire Telecaster models which has been of particular interest to some folks. See review here - (    • UB:35 Amazon - Fender Telecaster Debut Ser...   ) As I will be constructing my own Custom Shop Telecaster Style Guitar in the coming weeks – I decided to swap-out nearly all the parts in this 'Debut' model with the high-end fittings and accessories for the Custom Project.

For this entry-level guitar upgrade I will be using basic tools and DIY skills within the scope of most folks. As you will see from the video, the task in hand is not that complicated but the question arises... is it worth doing considering this guitar is an entry-level guitar aimed at those starting out.

I do a before and after side-by-side test so you can hear the differences, and while I show how to quickly sand-down the neck to make the playing experience more comfortable, what can't really be shown on video, is the feel of the instrument when put up against a higher quality model.

As for myself, this is just an interesting experiment, and while the Debut guitar certainly benefitted from the upgrade this is not something I would recommend unless you got all the upgraded accessories given to you - and even then, I would be looking to swap-out the body and neck for something better still. This is something I will be doing in the coming weeks as I begin my Custom Telecaster style build project. I hope this video proves helpful... Enjoy!
