PUBLIC NOTICE BY TEAM ST-BACHAO ANDOLAN LOWER SUBANSIRI UNIT.
After completion of all procedures and departmental inquiries confirming the illegal construction of a masjid, the District Administration has failed to initiate the next lawful step demolition.
During a formal meeting with the District Administration, the response given was that action would be “more efficient” only if a higher authority issues an order. This clearly reflects administrative incompetence, indecision, and abdication of responsibility.
In view of this continued inaction, our Committee has issued a ONE-WEEK ULTIMATUM, expiring on 20 January 2026.
Failure to act within this period will compel us to call a 24-HOUR BANDH on 21 January 2026, which may extend to an indefinite bandh until lawful action is taken.
Responsibility for any consequences shall rest solely with the District Administration.
We stand firm for rule of law, justice, and constitutional rights.
