Just dropping in today to share a few tips on how to enjoy the holiday season... 🎅
✨ Set your intention as to how you want the holidays to feel
✨ Set boundaries where needed and stick to them... remember when you activate or trigger someone else, that's their problem and not yours
✨ Don't forget to schedule in me time... get quiet with yourself, a journal, meditation, etc... and allow yourself to settle every. Single. Day.
✨ If you find feelings of overwhelm, anxiety, or irritation creeping up, take three deep breaths in through the nose + out the mouth
Remember, whenever we feel activated or upset by something someone says or does, it could be because there are parts of us that need some more attention to healing.
Instead of reacting in the moment, ask yourself why? Why is that feeling rising up in you?
Then allow yourself some space to get quiet with the question and time for an answer to come.
Most of our answers come when we allow ourselves to just be + sit with the question in our mind.
I truly believe that the holidays are meant to be enjoyed and you are in control of the joy you create within yourself.
So, you can choose to do everything everyone else wants to do and be resentful about it, or you can find a happy compromise for all and breathe through the hard parts with the intention of enjoying yourself.
