Strange Mysteries is far too cool to do an entry on the Bermuda Triangle, so let's instead take a look at its Pacific Ocean equivalent - The Devil's Sea.The Mariana Trench - not to be confused with the Marinara Trench which is a subway sandwich I just invented - is the deepest part of the Earth's ocean, stretching over 2,550 kilometres and sinking down an astonishing eleven kilometres into the Earth's crust. The Silver Bridge was a roadway which once straddled the Ohio River at Point Pleasant, connecting the states of West Virginia and Ohio.Lake Vostok is one of the largest lakes in the world, but it's not its size that makes it impressive; it's the fact that four kilometres down, beneath a layer of ice, this freshwater lake has remained sealed off from the rest of the world for over 15 million years.
