Описание: 理研と東海ゴム工業（株）が2007年に設立した理研-東海ゴム人間共存ロボット連携センター（RTC）は、介護者の負担を軽減することができる介護支援ロボット「RIBA：Robot for Interactive Body Assistance （リーバ）- II」の開発に成功しました。RIBA- IIは2009年8月に公開したRIBAの後継機で、新開発した柔軟触覚センサと新機構を搭載して、抱き上げ重量を約30%増の80 kgを達成し、床上からの抱き上げ移乗作業を可能にしました。今後も実用性を一層に追求し開発を進め、同社による世界に先駆けた人に優しい介護支援ロボットの商品化を目指します。2011年制作。

Researchers at the RIKEN-TRI Collaboration Center for Human-Interactive Robot Research (RTC), a joint project established in 2007 and located at the Nagoya Science Park, have developed a new robot, RIBA-II (Robot for Interactive Body Assistance), to assist care-givers in their daily tasks.
Through newly-developed sensors and actuators, the new robot is able to lift patients of up to 80kg in weight -- 30% more than its predecessor RIBA, released in August, 2009 -- directly from the floor and onto a bed. Looking ahead, Tokai Rubber Industries will pursue further improvements in functionality with the aim of bringing robots such as RIBA-II to market in the near future.
