Antoine Semenyo has called for tougher punishments to deal with racism in football, after accusing a man in the crowd of abusing him during Bournemouth's match against Liverpool last Friday.
In his first interview since the incident, Semenyo told ITV News: "It could be jail time, it could be banned from stadiums for a lifetime, it could be anything along the lines of that, but I feel like there has to be something else."
Asked by ITV News Sports Editor Steve Scott what the maximum punishment should be when such incidents happen, he said: "It could be jail time, it could be banned from stadiums for a lifetime, it could be anything along the lines of that, but I feel like there has to be something else."
