Tonight I tried a sample of Ben Holladay 1856 one barrel bourbon, 125.2 proof
I tried to compare this pour between a glencairn and a Libby bourbon glass. I was able to tell subtle differences, but it wasn’t a landslide difference.
Either way, I got sweet oak, a little spice. I double checked and the mash bill is 73c/15r/12mb. I had it in my head it was a wheater, and I thought it was as soft as the palate was. Another damn good pour.
