Cape Biologix Technologies produces a range of SARS-CoV-2 antigens and antibodies using our plant-based transient expression platform. We turn thousands of small tobacco related plants into mini bioreactors.


The Nucleocapsid protein is closely associated with the viral RNA on the inside of the virus. It is an important structural protein, involved primarily in viral self-assembly and replication.


We have a range of antibodies against the N protein, with 2 sandwich pairs available. These gene sequences were taken from patients with neutralising antibodies against the novel corona virus. They are fused to Human IgG1 backbones and we affectionately call them the HuNs.
