This simple video tutorial will show you how to change or reset the password of your Microsoft account in Windows 8 and Windows 8.1.

To change your microsoft account password using windows 8, go to your PC settings. Move your mouse pointer to the right side to activate the settings charm. Click on the settings button and the select PC settings.
You will find the change password option under the Sign in options under Accounts.
You must be already logged in to your windows 8 user account with your microsoft account before you can change it.

After clicking on the 'Change ' button, type in your current Microsoft password, type in your new password twice, and click/tap on Next. If you like, you can now close PC settings.

When you sign in to this Microsoft account next, you will need to enter the new password.
