Historic Gold Price Crash in Pakistan | Market Update

Pakistan witnessed a dramatic bloodbath in gold prices, with rates dropping over Rs35,000 per tola in a sudden market correction. The decline mirrors sharp sell-offs in international markets, where gold, silver, and copper tumbled after hitting record highs earlier this week.

The plunge was driven by panic profit-taking as investors rushed to secure gains amid diminishing hopes of aggressive US interest rate cuts and a strengthening US dollar.

In the local market:

Gold per tola fell by Rs35,500, settling at Rs537,362.

10 grams of gold dropped by Rs30,435, closing at Rs460,701.

Silver prices also fell by Rs1,106 per tola, now at Rs11,069.

The sharp reversal comes just days after Thursday’s massive surge, when gold had jumped by Rs21,200 to Rs572,862 per tola. Experts warn that the precious metals market remains volatile, and investors should exercise caution amid global economic uncertainties.
