3. Cashew Manufacturing Process:
a) Drying:
For two days nuts exposed to the sun till they are dried and then dried nuts are stored in the storeroom. the sunshine drying loss may come from 7% to 8%.
b) Roasting:
The roasting of the row Cashew nut is done by the steaming roasting process. this process is carried on for 25 min at 90-degree centigrade. normal boiler capacity is 200 to 250kg one time.
c) Cooling:
Once the row nuts are roasted they are being spread on the floor and it will take 4 to 5 hr for cooling.
d) Cutting & Shelling:
The cutting process is handed by women workers or Cashew Nut Cutter machine. the normal cost of the cutter machine is 1.5 to 2 lakh. and its production capacity is 20 to 25kg per hour.
e) Shelling:
Each cashew shell is split open and the cashew inside is taken out by a Shelling machine.
f) Drying Process:
The Cashew nuts which are cut, are taken to a hot chamber for Borma drying.
g) Peeling:
After drying the Cashew nuts are going through a peeling process where the peeling machine can peel the dry cashew brown coating.
h) Grading:
This is the process where the Cashew Nuts are categorized and they are given different grades.
