This one blew me away. The Hacker-Pschorr Oktoberfest Märzen is as traditional as it gets - rich malt, spicy noble hops, and that deep copper glow that reminds you why Munich fell in love with this style in the first place.
In this review I break down the aroma (copper, caramel, floral hops), the flavour (malt sweetness, dark bread crust, spicy herbal hops), and why I think Hacker-Pschorr have absolutely nailed the balance between malt character and drinkability.
This is what Oktoberfest used to taste like - a beer you can drink by the litre, but still chew on the flavour. For me, out of the 2025 festival beers I’ve reviewed so far, this sits right at the top.
