Comparing FDA Data 2024 PET FOOD CRISIS vs 2007 Melamine Recalls Update as of 6/8/2024

Описание: The FDA has not given the public any updates on the current pet food crisis, but thanks to a FOIA (Freedom of Information Act) request, their data clues us into the volume of adverse event reports received for various commercial pet food brands. Does a cause need to be identified prior to a recall? No! Brands began recalling foods out of an "abundance of caution" in 2007 before Melamine was identified after 10 pet deaths. We have hundreds of pet deaths reported, where is the abundance of caution?

Contact your veterinarian. Request a copy of your pet's medical records. Report your concerns to the pet food company and ask your vet to do the same. ⁠
