Описание: I didn’t start this video in downtown Beijing or anywhere polished. I ended up north of the city center, at a massive open-air market that honestly blew my mind! for real!

This isn’t a curated “tourist market.” This is where locals actually come. I was literally the only foreigner.

Farmers. Families. Street vendors. You’ll see live animals, fresh vegetables straight from nearby farms, handmade foods, and street snacks being made right in front of you.

It’s chaotic, loud, raw—and incredibly real. All in a lovely way. it is a true gem. An UNFORGETTABLE experience for me.

Watching this unfold, I kept thinking how something like this would never be allowed in the U.S. Live animals next to food stalls, fresh noodles being pulled by hand, sesame being crushed on the spot… it would be shut down instantly. Our government HATES our farmers. They put billions of restrictions on them. They can't even sell milk!

But in China, there’s a deep respect for local farmers and fresh food, and markets like this are still part of everyday life.

As the video goes on, you’ll see moments where my brain literally struggles to process what I’m seeing—fresh noodles being made in seconds, smells from crushed sesame seeds filling the air, and snacks that cost barely a dollar but taste unreal. At one point I’m genuinely speechless. At another, I’m just laughing because it’s too much to take in. TMA... Too much awesome! New term by me haha.

Everything is happening in real time. People working, selling, eating, living.

This is the side of Beijing most people never see—and honestly, it’s the part that made the city feel the most alive. I feel SO lucky I got to see this. well worth the 50 minute trip to get here! insanely fun!
