This story is shared by the son of Gururaja Rao.
At 78, it began with back pain. It felt like a spine problem, nothing more.
Weakness slowly set in, and the family told themselves it was just age.

There were no bad habits.
Yet the same question kept returning — how did this happen?
One medical test changed the silence in their home.
These are memories from the days when lymph node cancer entered their lives.

ಈ ಕಥೆಯನ್ನು ಗುರುರಾಜ ರಾವ್ ಅವರ ಮಗ ಹೇಳುತ್ತಾನೆ.
ಅವರಿಗೆ 78 ವರ್ಷ. ಮೊದಲು ಬೆನ್ನು ನೋವು. ನಂತರ ಸ್ಪೈನ್ ಸಮಸ್ಯೆ ಅಂತ ಅನಿಸಿಕೊಂಡರು.
ನೀರಸತೆ ದಿನೇದಿನೇ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗುತ್ತಿತ್ತು. ವಯಸ್ಸಿನ ಕಾರಣವೇ ಎಂದು ಮನಸ್ಸಿಗೆ ಹೇಳಿಕೊಂಡರು.

ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಅಭ್ಯಾಸಗಳೇ ಇರಲಿಲ್ಲ.
ಆದರೂ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆ ಒಂದೇ — ಇದು ಹೇಗೆ ಶುರುವಾಯ್ತು?
ಪರೀಕ್ಷೆಯ ನಂತರ ತಿಳಿದ ಸತ್ಯ ಮನೆಯೊಳಗೆ ಮೌನವನ್ನು ತುಂಬಿತು.
ಇದು ಲಿಂಫ್ ನೋಡ್ ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ಎದುರಿಸಿದ ದಿನಗಳ ನೆನಪು.
