Baye Dame's words: 'Wouni Allah means "Everything is God." 'Wouni' comes from the Pulaar language in Mauritania. The phrase expresses the belief that all is God's creation and that every person, object, and life form has the spark and essence of God in it. As disciples of Cheikh Inbrahima Niasse (Baye Niasse), we praise him by singing "Baye Wouni Allah" and connecting him directly with God's divine presence."

Ben Aylon and Baye Dame started collaborating in 2023 when they first met in Senegal. Dame's practice and devotion to Sufism and Ben's deep connection to the Senegalese culture create a new sound defined by curiosity, creativity, and love. Through the music, they seek to manifest a core value in Senegalese culture - 'Nio Far' - meaning 'We Are Together.'
