In this video, I put two different transition lenses to the test on my Ray-Ban Meta Wayfarer smart glasses — the factory-installed G15 transition lenses vs. aftermarket XTRActive transition lenses.
The G15 lenses, while stylish and lightly photochromic, don’t quite cut it for bright outdoor conditions. They just don’t get dark enough for my liking. Enter the XTRActive lenses — a serious upgrade. These not only transition faster and get significantly darker, but they also activate behind a windshield, which the G15 lenses can’t do.
