So utilizing the Dread Seneschal to the fullest is probably the most fun and satisfying ways you can play Vermintide 2. Between attacking, defending, charging, repositioning, and keeping tally of which skeletons are active while also thinking about yourself, it’s the micromanaging dream.
With Army of the Dead giving you the most defensive utility and Barrow Blades offering the most offensively, the Dread Seneschal are somewhere in the middle from my testing, but unlike the other two, they have by far the most potential for obvious reasons. You can control hordes, bully elites, hunt specials, create space, draw aggro… the list goes on and on.
But man, these skeletons are both the best and the worst. Especially when soloing.
For example, if aren’t able to make use of the Dread Seneschal as much as possible, they aren’t always able to hold their own. They’re not nearly as weak as the base skeletons, but still a step under the Barrow Blades (although its a little more complex than that). There’s also only 6 of them, which means they’ll draw twice as much aggro onto themselves with way less ease of use, unlike if you were using Army of the Dead. I love the micromanaging, but dang, I can’t always babysit 😭
The thing is, you want them up as much as possible, so babysit, I shall… I took Reaping to make it hurt less when I don’t have them.
I attempted to use Lost Souls at first with this build to try and preserve my skeletons more, but found Spirit Leech is more flexible.
Double boss damage
