The introverted character of this dwelling becomes apparent from its frontal view. The façade, resembling two stacked boxes, exudes a formidable presence, bereft of any apertures. The principal entrance is entirely concealed behind a perforated metal barrier, while no windows grace the front elevation on either the first or second storey.

The architects astutely grasped the client's preferences. Incidentally, the homeowner possesses an introverted disposition, harboring a desire to shield their daily lives from external scrutiny. This predilection for introversion is reflected in the spatial arrangement. The front section of the house is dedicated to communal spaces and services, whereas the rear becomes progressively more private.

In configuring the building and its spatial layout, the objective was to foster spaciousness with generous architectural design while minimizing partition walls. This approach stems from the need to create a wholesome living environment given the prevalence of tightly-knit residential areas in Indonesia, where neighbors are in close proximity. Moreover, the building was designed to ensure every side has an open aspect, even on the upper floors, where windows grace all four sides.

An intriguing feature of this project lies in the choice of materials that envelop the building's façade. Instead of conventional building materials, the architects opted for tiles typically reserved for floors or interiors, sporting a pleasing terracotta hue. This customized product was tailored to the building's specific dimensions. Achieving precision during construction was imperative to ensure the tiles and grouting were installed flawlessly. It's worth acknowledging the craftsmanship, particularly in a locale where advanced tools and cutting-edge construction techniques are not extensively employed; here, the builders relied on their dexterity and artistry to craft this distinctive structure.
