Using Position time graphs, you will be able to show the change in the object’s position over time. You will also know if the object’s speed is increasing, decreasing, or constant and whether it is moving or not. A position-time graph shows how far something travels over a period of time. It is the representation of speed or velocity when we indicate the direction of the moving object
The slope is the slant or angle of the line in the graph. The shape of the line on the graph whether straight, curved or steeply sloped has different interpretations of the motion of the object. In mathematics, the slope of a line is the rise over the run, or the change in y divided by the change in x. So, if you pick two points on a line, (x1, y1) and (x2, y2), the slope of the line is calculated by subtracting the value of the y-coordinates (y2 - y1) and the x-coordinates (x2 - x1). Then, divide the difference of the y-coordinates by the difference of the x coordinates
