Today's time of prayer is dedicated to the memory of St. Brigid of Kildare, whose feast day was yesterday (February 1). St. Brigid lived from around 450-523 and she was especially known for her generosity and hospitality. She presided over both men and women at the community she founded in Kildare with the blessing of the bishop Mel, who said: "I have no power in this matter. God has ordained Brigid." The blessings in today's time of prayer are fitting to offer in your own home or, upon invitation, in the home of another. Be loved, dear friends...because you are beloved.
