Swipe..Shmear and Smash.. fluid art ..acrylic paint technique..Never give up on a painting..
I had started this painting to be a part of a group challenge on the Facebook group.. Whimsical Science Acrylic Pouring.
I was going to do my swipe..shmear and maybe a small flip cup.. but the swipe was rather.. unimpressive.
So I set it aside and got another canvas to try another piece.. in the same colours.
Several hours later.. it was bothering me. it was an ok swipe.. but it really needed something..
Hence.. Mallet Smashes!..some black for contrast and now I have a piece with a focal point.. much more pleasing composition..
Very pleased with the final outcome..
And watch to the end.. I highly recommend some nice little inexpensive frames I got from Michaels..that work great with canvas..
