How to Prep the camera:
The battery:
The type of battery needed is often labeled in side the battery compartment. Like here it is the CR123A or DL123A
If its not labeled inside battery door or compartment you can always google it or download the manual online. The manual is just more dependable than some random forum.
Loading the camera:
First 24 exp. Means 24 exposures. Exposures equal total amount of shots you will get out of this roll.
200 is iso and I can explain in another video.
Loading point and shoots is fairly simple.
Most point and shoots load automatically.
Most will have a reddish film lead indicator
You simply drag the film to the designated place and close the film back.
The camera will give you a clear indication when loaded correctly.
This Olympus will give you a #1 when accurately loaded.
If you still see an E it means the film was not loaded properly.
* I know when first shooting film you sometimes lose confidence if the pictures are being taken. It happened to me too. Just know if the number on the display is changing the camera is happy so you should be too.
* Once you have loaded the film. Do not open the back door until all the film is all the way rewinded back into the film canister.
How to Shoot it:
Alright to shoot you should focus on your subject and then recompose if you need to.
To focus on a subject you simply half press on the shutter button.
There is a green indicator light. Shown when the focus is locked. Then you can recompose.
Zoom:
To zoom toggle to w for wide, and T for a more closed in shot. T is for tele photo.
Side tip: Zooms are usually at their sharpest when at their widest point.
Flash settings:
Point and shoots have standard auto flash meaning the camera will determine if flash is needed or not.
You can force the flash on. Which is good for dim light situations when the subject with good range.
You can force the flash off. Which is good for being discrete. Stability really matters when forcing flash off and camera suggests it.
There is a self timer:
This is good for selfies or group photos that you want to be in.
To activate you press the self timer button once to turn the feature on.
Frame up your shot.
Press the shutter and a red light in front of the camera will light up. Indicating the self timer has started. You then have 10 seconds before the camera will take its shot.
More point and shoot tips:
For sharper photos stabilize with both hands
Keep the camera in place until you hear the camera finish advancing the film
Shoot until the camera starts rewinding all the film back into canister.
