Well, this is done. Much longer than the PCE-CD run, mostly due to MSX being much slower hardware. I still lost quite a bit of time to getting lost, dying in boss fights, and taking breaks, so there's a fair amount of improvement possible nonetheless. I think a good run of this version would probably be in the 3:30~4:00 range.

The major routing difference in this run versus PCE-CD is that there doesn't seem to be a way to buy Lucky Tarots/Rabbits Foot prior to chapter 5. So I go out of my way to pick up the Luck Ring and farm an Unlucky Tarot/Evil Eye drop for use in the Achdam/Drax duel. Some drops seem a little different; the Gladius/Glaive dropped by Achdam's henchman doesn't seem to be present. The XP curve seems a little different as well.

Played on a Panasonic FS-A1WX using a Carnivore 2 cartridge as a virtual disk drive. The turbo feature on the Panasonic Power Pad (FS-JS221) is used to mash through dialog. Final time determined by counting frames in Avidemux.
