1—Food of angels, sacred food,
priceless treasure, changeless good He that eateth lives for aye,
soul secure in mortal clay.
We adore you, bread divine,
Blood within that cup enshrined,
Shed for sinners, shed for me,
when Christ bled on Calvary.
2—This the bread I break with you
is my body living, true;
This the chalice of the wine,
holds within my blood divine.
3—Come, ye weary, find your rest,
here upon my gentle breast,
You will find the peace you crave
when your souls you seek to save.
