In the rural highlands of Madagascar, a portrait of Bodo, a woman who died 7 years ago, is carried at the front of a procession. Today her family are exhuming her corpse in a funerary tradition known as 'the turning of the bones'. Bodo’s daughter Laurence and her family had to save 1500 euros over the year to pay for the ceremony. But as the moment approaches, Laurence is looking forward to finally seeing her mother again - and even introduce her to her daughter.
