Описание: If you received an unsolicited phishing email from [email protected] or receipts messaging Squareup that's Square or Squareup.com about an invoice or a request for money, it's likely a scam and is not legit. The way that this works is that scammers send a request for money through the Square app or Squareup.com website where they enter your email address or phone number, a process that then initiates an invoice message that's sent to you from [email protected]. However, this is not anything you need to pay or look at, unless you are familiar with the request for money.

Here's how this works. The message is received from [email protected] and then there's a link in the fake invoice that likely leads to a fake Square website where scammers hope their phishing attempt to get your login details works. Don't give away your login information on a fake Square website.

These kinds of scams that request money have been going around with other payment method apps and websites for years, and now it appears that Square on Squareup.com is once again being used, with at least a handful of people searching Google for [email protected] to see if it's legit. It's a real email address for Square, but the request for money can be ignored.

Some users who received an email from [email protected] might believe it's legit and isn't a scam, but once again, this Square or Squareup.com invoice or request for money can likely be ignored.

If you paid this invoice or gave away your login details or other sensitive financial information, I recommend contacting all organizations that may be associated with what you provided to scammers.
