[SFM] Meet the Firebat (TF2 Version)

Описание: Four years ago, just for fun, I did a little test by doing a selected scene-by-scene recreation of Meet the Firebat, a short film by Xunlei for their multiplayer FPS, Final Combat. Meet the Firebat is just one of several videos by Xunlei done in the style of the Meet the Team series for Team Fortress 2 by Valve.

(And yes, Final Combat is a TF2 ripoff. Let's try not to focus on that matter for now.)

Basically, what I was trying to aim for is to recreate Meet the Firebat, scene-by-scene, but with TF2 characters instead. (Pyro is an obvious choice.) Due to losing interest with TF2 on that time, and with the lack of resources to turn my vision into a reality, this project was abandoned halfway through, leaving only those aforementioned selected scenes which I've uploaded on YouTube. But, recently, now that I got myself into making SFM videos again, and with content I required now available within the Steam Workshop, I decided to resume finishing this project again.

Anyway, part of what drove me into doing this animation is, well... I was a little disappointed with the official Meet the Pyro. Maybe it was the overhype; maybe it's due to me wishing that, this time, BLU Team won instead, with the Pyro being their "secret weapon". It's probably why, in my previous SFM videos, I got a little cruel with Pyro, killing him off whenever he appeared in my videos.

Back when the world was still waiting for the release of Meet the Pyro (which also includes the release of Source Filmmaker to the public), I found out about the aforementioned game, Final Combat. I watched their own Meet the Team series, many of them are quite hilariously bad and of poor quality compared to TF2's ones, but one video stood out: Meet the Firebat. Unlike the other videos that seemed to only showcase the classes in the most random way possible, Meet the Firebat was different: it had a story, plot point, quite sad and actually gave me quite the feels as I watched it.

I had secretly wished that this should've been Meet the Pyro instead. I began to wonder what if the characters are all TF2 characters instead. Hence, this SFM animation you see here.
